roverb: “Into every life, a little rain must fall.” Originally coined by American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in his poem, “The Rainy Day,” the saying later became the seed of a song performed as a duet by the Ink Spots with famed jazz singer, Ella Fizgerald. It is a comforting reminder that unfortunate things happen to everybody. How do you handle disappointment? Watch what happens when a young woman can’t cope with the fact that her younger sister is marrying before she is, and she ultimately learns the value in the saying, “ into every life, a little rain must fall”. Ivy is having a difficult time with the fact that her little sister, Eva, is getting married before her. In order to boost her confidence, Ivy tries hypnotherapy and begins to see the world and herself differently. It’s not long before she gets her groove back and is fighting the guys off with a stick.
